For Adult Children & Caregivers

Absolutely. Transportation is provided free of charge within the Lewiston/Auburn area, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
We also offer:
– Two weekly shopping shuttles.
– Sunday church shuttles.
– Day trips all over Maine.
– A wheelchair van for those who require it.
You can rest easy knowing your loved ones are safe and secure:
– All access doors are security locked from the outside and require key entry.
– We use a daily check-in system to ensure all tenants are safe and well.
– A 24-hour emergency call bell system is in place, so staff is always available if an emergency arises.
The health of your loved one is very important to us. Schooner Estates is one of the few senior living communities to have a Home Health Care Agency on-site. This means they have the ability to have a Registered Nurse (RN) coordinate with their physician to handle health care needs quickly and easily.
Our RNs can provide:
– Nursing assessments in their apartment.
– Referrals to skilled services if needed.
– Medication and lab management.
– Many personal care needs.
We also offer three levels of care on-site, and as a current tenant, your loved one will have priority placement options should their physical needs increase.
Your loved one will have a life full of activities and opportunities to be social! We strive to ensure every tenant maintains their quality of life and continues to explore their interests.
They will have:
– Friends to share a daily meal with in our beautiful dining rooms.

Schooner Estates is a monthly rental community, which means no large “buy-in” fee is required. We also offer additional services on an a la carte basis. This approach helps keep costs manageable, as your loved one will only pay for the services they need when they need them, avoiding inflated prices for services they may never use.
