Along with the Fall season, we look forward to our yearly “Team Member Month of Events”. All Schooner staff members are recognized for the dedication and effort they give, throughout the year. The Team Member Appreciation Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd at 2:30 in the Village Green. Hope to see everyone there!

Conrad Conant, studio C105

  • Schooner officially welcomed Mr. Conant in August.
  • He previously lived in Hebron, Maine.
  • He did not marry and lived in a big house that became too much to care for.
  • He spent twenty-five years of his life in the Air Force.
  • Conrad’s main hobby interest is golf.
  • His father was here at Schooner 30 years ago!
  • We are so very glad to have him here with us!

Carmen White, apt.

  • Carmen originally lived in New Auburn, moved to Massachusetts with her husband, and then back to Maine.
  • She and her husband had two sons.
  • She decided to move to Schooner after the apartment she was living in was sold.
  • Before retirement, Carmen was an accountant.
  • Her hobbies include knitting, sewing, and reading.
  • Let’s all welcome her to Schooner!

Dorothy Bowyer, apt.

  • Dorothy came to Schooner from Auburn.
  • She has a son and a daughter, and two grandsons.
  • She decided to move to Schooner because of our good reputation.
  • Her past job was a secretary.
  • She enjoys doing stain glass, knitting, and scrapbooking.
  • Dorothy has a love for cats.
  • Welcome to Schooner Dorothy!

Robert & Tookie Clifford, apt.

413

  • The Clifford’s come to us from Lewiston, with a summer home in Scarborough.
  • They have 2 sons who live in the Portland area, and 3 grandchildren.
  • They made the decision to move to Schooner to benefit from all the additional support services we provide.
  • Mr. Clifford retired from a very distinguished career of Supreme Court Judge for 45 years. He was the longest serving justice on the Maine Supreme Court.
  • Mrs. Clifford enjoyed being a color analysist.
  • Both met in Europe (Germany).
  • We are excited to have them here at Schooner!
