We can’t wait!

A special mini vacation is planned for June 2015. Mark Prevost, our Resident Services Director and his wife Lisa will host a three day get away to the beautiful Berkshires in Western Massachusetts. Schooner residents will enjoy a two night hotel stay in Deerfield. Shopping, eating out, a visit to the Norman Rockwell Museum and the Yankee Candle factory store and touring the spectacular, picturesque scenery are all included in this trip. If you are interested in going, please check with Mark to see if there are any openings left.

They will be leaving at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 9th and returning on Thursday, June 11th.

100 Years Young on May 17th

Schooner had the honor of welcoming a new member to our distinguished Centenarian Club. A very special resident, Lillian Auchterlonie has been inducted into the club. Being the center of attention during meal time, Lillian was awarded and graciously accepted an engraved plaque and a celebratory cake. Fellow residents and Schooner staff were there to join in the celebration.

This inspirational club was created several years ago to recognize all of our residents as they reach the wonderful milestone of 100 years of age, while residing in our community.

Congratulations Lillian! We all look forward to celebrating future birthdays with you!

A Special Recipe

Schooner Residents got a special treat this month when Jackie Fortunato joined Chef Todd in the kitchen to teach him how to make her very own authentic Italian tomato sauce to be used at lunch the next day. The reviews are in: It was delicioso!
