American Heart Association Talk

Tuesday March 22nd at 10:00 A.M. in the Castine Living Room

A representative from the American Heart Association will join Schooner Estate’s Residents to offer tips and advice on how to stay healthy.  Please circle this on your calendar.

Spring Senior College

Spring College Courses are starting again.  Charles W. Plummer will begin the 8 week course on Tuesday March 22nd.  The subject this spring is “Psychology and Human Behavior.”  Course brochures are available in the Camden Lobby.

WII Bowling

Jim Williams has been announced as a frequent “High Scorer” in Wii bowling.  The majority of his scores are well over 200. WOW JIM!

Well Done Candy Langlois who not only worked a double shift on her weekend off.  She pulled shifts in two different departments.

It’s people like these that keep Schooner running so smoothly for our Residents.

It’s Mardi Gras Time – Fat Tuesday is  March 8th

Get ready for Mike’s amazing Buffet featuring recipes from Emril Lagasse’s cookbooks.  Seatings are scheduled for 11:00, 12:15, and 1:30. And don’t forget all of your favorite Mardi Gras colors, make sure you dress in purple, green, and gold – the official colors of Fat Tuesday.

February is Heart Disease Awareness Month.

February 4th all of America will be wearing red in support of Heart Disease Awareness.  Schooner is selling red dress pins at the front desk for $2.00 ea.  Show your support by wearing your own favorite red dress or tie.

Concert Review

Frederick Moyer performed an amazing concert in January.  Mr. Moyer is a world renowned pianist who was enjoyed by over 100 guests.  If you missed it, pictures of the event are here to view.

Shopping Shuttle

Just a reminder that there is a Shopping Shuttle every Tuesday and Thursday at 9:00 A.M. available for all residents.  The shuttle leaves from both entrances and no sign up is required.
