It’s that time of year again! The Schooner Estates 2018 Open House and Sock Hop will be held on Saturday, September 8th from 10am-4pm.
Events include tours every 30 minutes from 10-3, a BBQ from 12-1:30, a concert featuring Hot Damn! Duo from 2:30-4 and displays in our Village Green. Come on by and learn more about our beautiful campus, fantastic employees and amazing residents!
On Tuesday, August 14th at 2:30 pm, we will have Miles Hunt, Lawyer and Chair at Androscoggin Home Health Care here to talk on the subject around advanced directives and POA responsibilities, followed by a Seniors Plus presentation on Medicare.
Miles’ principal areas of practice are estate planning and probate administration, elder law and social security disability appeals. He is very active in local non-profit organizations and is currently serving on the Board of Directors for the United Way of Oxford County. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice.
Directly following Miles, a representative of Seniors Plus will be here to talk about Medicare.

The public are invited to the next installment of our Your Community Series. Art Historian Cynthia Peer of Peer Presentations will be here with her popular seminar, “The Great Masterpieces of the Louvre.” Cynthia’s presentation will last roughly an hour, to be followed by a short presentation by our local Agency on Aging, Seniors Plus, on everything they do for the seniors in our community.
