How can the medical profession better help people navigate the final chapters of their lives with confidence, direction and purpose? Join Angela from Beacon Hospice to explore this question and others during a special screening of Being Mortal, the groundbreaking PBS Special based upon the bestselling book by Atul Gawande, MD.
Following the film, Angela will lead a discussion of key themes and the implications for all of us as we come to terms with our own eventual mortality. Each attendee will be provided with a variety of valuable and practical resources, including a worksheet to identify what’s most important to you and your family and a workbook to start documenting your own advance care directives.
Do you need help establishing a monthly budget or ensuring that bills get paid in a timely and accurate manner? The SeniorsPlus Money Minders program matches trained volunteers with clients that need help with financial matters so that they can continue to live independently. Dana Morrell from SeniorsPlus will be at Schooner to explain this great program! All are welcome!
When: Tuesday, October 30th at 2:30 pm
Where: The Tenants Harbor Room at Schooner Estates Senior Living Community, 200 Stetson Road, Auburn, Maine
